A devout Christian, Violet was a dedicated member of Gantts Grove Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and eagerly participated in any church activities that needed her helping hands. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing guidance and comfort throughout her days.

Her legacy lives on in her dear great-grandchildren Chelsey Melton, Marley Atkins, Keegan Hinds, Dougie Melton, Jaxson Hinds, Tesla Hartman, Josie Vandervort, and Lyndi Armour.
Known affectionately as "Mama" and "MawMaw," Violet was the best storyteller and was lovingly referred to as "Aunt Violet" by many of her nieces and nephews. Her stories and laughter will echo in our hearts always.
