Violet Ruth Miller of Mulvane, Kansas, 97 years old, passed away at Maria Court Assisted Living facility on January 26, 2026. She was born November 16, 1928 in Atlanta, Kansas to Lester and Mary Huddle.
She was a longtime member of the Altar Society at St. Michael Catholic Church and retired from Cessna, where she worked as an engineering executive assistant. Above all else, she was a great mother and a tremendous grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply. She enjoyed watching sporting events and keeping her friends at Maria Court up to date on sporting news. She was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and Jayhawks.
She loved fishing, traveling, camping, and being outdoors. One of her favorite traditions was the annual family trip to Bennett Spring State Park every July, a tradition she started and that has continued for 66 years. Those trips were filled with family time, fishing, and memories that will be cherished forever.
Survived by her sons, Stephen (Teresa) Miller and David (Peggy) Miller; grandchildren, Andrea, Jonelle (Brian), Lauren, Devon (Marissa), Joshua (Katie), Stephanie (Robby), Chelsey (Michael); 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Neptune and Margaret Quinn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Kurt Miller.
Public viewing will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 9am-10am, Rosary at 10am, and Funeral Mass at 10:30am. All at St. Michael Catholic Church, Mulvane, Kansas. Burial to follow at El Paso cemetery, Derby, Kansas.
