Violet Wilson Obituary
Violet was born April 5, 1929, in Wendell, Idaho, the daughter of Melvin Albert and Alta May Wolverton Posey. She married Lloyd Edward Wilson, October 8, 1944, in Elko, Nevada. Together they raised five children.
As a dedicated mother and homemaker, Violet was skilled in many areas including cooking, sewing, crafts, yard work and maintaining her flowers and garden. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Heyburn 1st Ward, as well as a member of the BPO Does. She enjoyed RV travel, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd; son, Floyd E. Wilson; sons-in-law, Hershel Randall, and Larry Dayley; grandchildren, Tress Wilson, Travis Dayley, and Charlotte Wilson; two sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by her children, Larraine Randall of Wendell, Linda L. Dayley of Heyburn, Dennis E. Wilson (Barbara) of Burley, and Carl D. Wilson (Cindy) of Boise; daughter-in-law, Judy Wilson of Shelley; sisters, Pauline Blodget of Hermiston, Oregon, Lucille Smith of Rainier, Oregon, and Effie Craythorn (Eddy) of Jerome; brothers, Melvin Posey (Phyllis) of Chubbuck, Ronald Posey (Phyllis) of Jerome, and Arlen Posey of Jerome; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 18, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, where family and friends will be received for a visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.
