Virgie Forman Obituary

Mrs. Forman passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She worked for Wellborn for over 30 years and was the second woman to be hired there. She was a long time member at Sardis Baptist Church and had been a member at Mt. Gilead Baptist before her passing. She loved gardening and enjoyed canning.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Roberson and husband Jasper Donald of Ashland; son, Johnny M. Forman of Ashland; sister, Elsie Killingsworth husband Johnny of Ashland; brother, Shirrell Hendon wife Jeanette of Ashland; 6 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; plus a large extended family and many loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jim and Hattie Hendon; her husband, Kenneth Forman; son, Kenneth Michael Forman; daughter, Melissa Nadine Moore and four siblings.
Pallbearers will be Hollis Snyder, Kenneth Snyder, Preston Roberson, Dalton Forman, Bethany Moore and BJ Campbell.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 before the service.
