Mike Parrott Obituary

Mr. Parrott passed away on Tuesday August 19, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Alexander City and lived a large portion of his life in Tallapoosa County. He retired as the maintenance superintendent for the city of Alexander City. He was an expert welder, B.A.S.S. member and professional bass fisherman. He also enjoyed dirt track racing and hunting. Mike has lived in Clay County for the past 14 years and was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Betty K. Parrott of Ashland, his daughters; Heather Wright (Shannon) of Alexander City and Stacy Bowen (Jeremy) of Ashland, Sons; Shane Parrott (Brittany) of Prattville and Blake Gill of Ashland, sister; Clinell Mims of Clanton, brother; Jackie Parrott (Gloria) of Indiana, and 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Clinton Curtis Parrott and Willie Ruth Winslett Parrott, and two brothers; Jimmie and Sherold Parrott
Active pallbearers will be Shelton Wright, Sawyer Wright, Taylor Adams, Luke Yarbrough, Micheal Bowen, Tyler Bowen, and Garrett Bowen. Trent Gill will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (325 Mt. Zion Church Rd) on August 21, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.
