Mrs. Virgie Heidelberg was born November 25,1947 to LC Dixon Sr and ' Lillie Dixon in Shubuta MS. Virgie was called to her eternal home on August 7, 2025 at her home in Quitman MS. Virgie was proceeded in death by both her parents, four brothers: Willie James Dixon, LC Dixon Jr, Larry Dixon, and Millage Pugh; a great nephew David Terrell McCarty; three nieces Kim Myers, Lawanda Blakley, and Tonya Johnson.

Virgie attended Shirley Owens High School. She spent most of her time cooking, playing Solitaire, listening to Blues and loving on her grandkids.

She attended Tribulation Baptist Church until her health failed.

Virgie leaves to cherish her memories: Her husband Henry Heidelberg of Shubuta MS; a loving daughter Lillian Marie(Roger) Heidelberg-Lynch; 3 grandchildren: Roberta, Erica, Robert Heidelberg all of Quitman MS; 4 great grandchildren Daquavion Wilson, Dasia Wilson, Mckinley Terrell, and Dawson Altman all of Quitman MS; a sister, Ceola McCarty of Shubuta MS; four brothers: Charles (Regina) Pugh of Waynesboro MS, Frank(Eva) Pugh of Shubuta MS, Cornelius (Shirley) Dixon of Waynesboro MS, and Ronnie Dixon of Sacramento CA. She also leaves a very special friend who she loved and adored, Mr. Christopher Champman. A host of nieces and nephews and two best friends Angie Russel and Neicey McCarty. Two godchildren: Markiyah Satcher and Ayden Pickens.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Tribulation Baptist Church in Shubuta, with Rev. Darin Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Davenport Cemetery.

The viewing periods will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, and Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.
