Virgil Lee Bolyer, Sr., 76, was born on January 9, 1949, and passed away on November 10, 2025. His daughters, EDee and Daphane were by his side holding his hands as he entered into eternal peace.
Virgil was preceded in death by his son, Virgil Lee Bolyer, Jr., his dad, ED Bolyer, his grandmother, Leola Button, his brothers, Wayne, Larry and Charles Bolyer and his sister, Geneva Bolyer.
He is survived by his daughters, EDee Bolyer Coleman, Daphane Bolyer Clinkscales, and Susie Bolyer Gitau; his mother, Susie Bolyer; his brothers, Thomas, Edward, and Ralph Bolyer; his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his stepchildren.
He was a good dad, a great son, and the "Best Pawpaw".
He was hardworking; and supported his family by working on land rigs for many years. He also fished on the Mississippi River and sold his catch to the local fish market. He was an excellent carpenter and mechanic, and if you needed a hand, he was there to help.
He had a great love for fishing on the Mississippi River and camping along its banks. If you couldn't get in touch with him for a few days, you knew he was out there fishing.
Virgil shared his love and knowledge of the Lord with his family, friends, and all he met. His spirit will be in heaven, but his ashes will forever flow with the current of the Mighty Mississippi.
"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed". John 8:36
