Virgil Ham Obituary
Virgil Benbow Ham, Jr., a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, the place where he was born on September 30, 1952, and lived a life that spanned 73 fulfilling years.
Virgil was a man of many talents and a heart of gold. Known for his strong will and gentle spirit, he touched the lives of everyone he met. As a skilled Business Manager with Terminix Pesticides, Virgil dedicated himself to his work with integrity and perseverance. His ability to manage and lead effectively was mirrored by his lifelong passion for problem-solving and fixing anything that needed repair.
He had an insatiable love for the great outdoors, finding joy in both freshwater and saltwater fishing. An avid hunter, Virgil cherished the thrill of hunting deer, rabbit, squirrel, and birds. His love for nature was matched only by his love for watching movies, which provided him with endless hours of entertainment and relaxation.
Virgil's remarkable ability to repair all kinds of things made him the go-to person for friends and family alike. If asked, he would always lend a helping hand, using his skills to mend the world around him. This selfless nature extended to his relationships, especially with his siblings, whom he held dear.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Mary Smith Ham and Virgil Benbow Ham, as well as his sister, Wanda Watson. He leaves behind a family who adored him: his sisters, Brenda Hamm and Shelby Tucker; his brothers, William Ham and Robert Steven Ham; and his children, Brian Keith and Ashley Ham. They will forever cherish his memory and the legacy of love and resilience he left behind.
At this time, no public service is planned. Should a service be arranged in the future, an announcement will be made. As we remember Virgil's life, we celebrate the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him. His spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have been part of his journey.
