Virgil F Williams

Virgil Frederick Williams departed this life on June 27th, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, South Carolina. He was born on March 18th, 1971, in Camden, South Carolina to Fred Russell Williams and Mary Frances Williams. Virgil attended Macedonia United Methodist Church during his younger years.

Virgil had a passion for comic books and reading. He also was a very good cook. Virgil graduated from Camden High School in 1989 and went on to attend Devry University in Atlanta, Georgia. Virgil later relocated to Seaford, Delaware.

He was employed at Methodist Manor House in Delaware for eight years. Virgil later moved back to Columbia, South Carolina, where he worked at Bi-Lo, Columbia Metropolitan Airport and UPS.

Up until his death, going back to his roots of serving people he was employed in downtown Columbia at Merrill Gardens of Columbia.
Virgil was a very humble and beloved young man. His off time was spent with the love of his life, his daughter Selah, going to the safari or doing whatever her heart desired.

Virgil is survived by his loving and doting parents, Russell and Francis Williams; his precious daughter, Selah Strother; loving siblings, Stacey Smith of Elgin, South Carolina, Sloan Trammell (Marcus) of Seaford, Delaware and Russell "Rusty" Williams of Greenville, North Carolina; nephew, Thomas "Tommy" Smith of Portsmouth, Viginia; niece, Morgan Trammell of Seaford, Delaware; great nephew, Kayden Smith of Suffolk, Virginia; two aunts, Edna Smith of Camden, South Carolina and Catherine Counts of Lugoff, South Carolina; uncle, Joe Louis Counts; a host of cousins, other relatives, friends and a very dear friend, Helene Hoefer.
