Virginia Cathern Bragg, 74 of Victor, West Virginia passed away on December 13, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Howard (Frank) Bragg; mother and father-in-law, Dallas and Thelma Bragg, parents, Ira Hunt Sr. and Elizabeth Butrick Hunt, a daughter Kathy Lynn (Bragg) Thombs, a sister, Norma (Hunt) Deal, brothers, James Butrick and Ira Lee Hunt, Jr.; granddaughter, Amanda Thombs and sisters-in-law: Alice Varney, Vicky Roark and Joyce Doss.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Tina (Eddie) Dorman of Page, WV, and Mandy Friend (Randy Gunnoe) of Danese, WV. Grandchildren, Dalton Dorman (Ciera Lynch) Page, WV, Natalie Dorman of Page, WV, Emily Dorman of Page WV, Edward Dorman II, (Jessica Adkins) of Page, WV, Jessica Benger (Johnathan Benger) of Princeton, WV, Ryan Friend (Abby Dawson) Coal City, Bentley Gunnoe, Danese, WV and Alexus Thombs of Victor, Avery Thombs of Victor, and Gabriela Thombs of Smithers; Sister, Charolette Butrick. Great-grandchildren, Hunter, Thomas, Brantley, Avay, Liam and Killian; ; Sister-in-laws: Shirley McCombs (Jerry), of Ohio, Judy Bellen (Herby) of North Carolina, Brother-in-Laws: Danny Bragg, Victor, WV, Larry Bragg, Victor, WV, Willie Bragg (Natasha) of North Carolina and Ronnie Bragg (Carol), of Jodie, WV
Virginia worked at New River Foodland as Produce Manager.
Services will be held at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Ansted, WV on December 20, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M., until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at the Gunnoe Cemetery, at Danese, WV (20691 Stanaford Rd).
