Virginia "Dale" Burnett

Mrs. Virginia "Dale" Burnett, age 72 of Sikes, Louisiana passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2024 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, Louisiana.
Dale, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was born September 17, 1951 in Jonesboro, Louisiana and a graduate of Dodson High School. She was a department manager at Wal-Mart in Winnfield for many years and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She always enjoyed the simple pleasures in life that included fishing, flower gardening and picking huckleberrys. She also enjoyed traveling and mountain sightseeing.
She was the daughter of the late Billy Gene Finn and the late Doris Brewer Finn and was also preceded in death by her son Scottie Wayne Burnett, grandson Lance Burnett and siblings Doris Gail Sharbono, Jerry Finn and Brenda Lowery.
Dale leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 55 years Ray Burnett, sons Randy Burnett, Ricky Burnett (Tami), Stacy Burnett (Janie), grandchildren Jeremy, Taylor, Erica, Justin, Megan, Hailey, Brittney, great-grandchildren Ariel, Bentlee, Marley, Cooper, Tucker, Parker, Kaydance, and Kamryn. She is also survived by two sisters, Billie Barton and Betty Hudson.
Friends may visit with the family at the Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 (noon). Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Friendship Cemetery in Sikes with Reverends Mike Howell and Kevin Womack officiating. Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
