Virginia Fay Turner Clendaniel, affectionately known as Fay, of Georgetown, Delaware passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025 at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood. She was 93. Born August 7, 1932 in Federalsburg, she was the daughter of the late Theodore R. Turner and Myrtle Todd Hassett. Fay worked for the State of Delaware Division of Revenue for over 23 years until her retirement in 1991. After her retirement, she was a loyal volunteer at the Blood Bank for 14 years. Fay was also a member of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program for 5 years. When she wasn't keeping herself busy volunteering, she was active in aerobics, enjoyed line dancing and yoga, and loved to play bingo. Fay is survived by her daughter Karen Smith (Jay) of Flat Rock, NC; her devoted companion of many years, Norman "Tick" Millman of Redden, DE; her grandson Jeff Smith (Marie); and her great-grandchildren: Kate, Cole, and Cam Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Jean T. Seipp and brother Mace Turner. A graveside service for Fay will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fay's honor to McColley's Chapel Cemetery (c/o Sally Griffith, 18317 McColley's Chapel Road, Georgetown, DE 19947).
