Gregory Clendaniel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holloway Funeral Home - Salisbury on Feb. 5, 2026.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory (Greg/G2) Clendaniel, who departed this life on February 2, 2026, at the age of 56. Born in Dover, Delaware on May 27, 1969 he was a beloved son of Harold and Georgia Clendaniel.

Greg was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family and friends.

Some people walk into a room and fill it. Not with noise, not with ego- just with something unmistakable. A warmth. A gravity that pulled everyone a little closer. That was Greg. He didn't demand attention; he earned it by giving every ounce of himself to the people around him. He was, in the truest sense, irreplaceable.

He was a father who adored and loved his children, and they adored and loved him right back. He was a friend-the kind you could call at any hour, for any reason, and know he'd show up. He was loyal to his core, tight with his people, and he carried that loyalty like a badge of honor. Greg had a warm, magnetic presence that drew people in. He gave selflessly to others, was a deeply loving father, and a loyal friend you could always rely on. To know him was to want to stay in his orbit.

For years, Greg (G2) was part of the heartbeat of Tidal Health/Peninsula Regional. He was the guy. Colleagues didn't just like him, they loved him. He was the one who fixed all the things, the one whose presence in the hallway could turn a hard shift around. At Christmas time, he became the elf-literally suited up, loading gifts, and delivering magic to families at Buckingham and beyond. He made Christmas special for people who needed it most, because that's just who he was.

The outpouring of love in the wake of his passing tells you everything you need to know. Friend after friend, colleague after colleague all say the same thing: he was the kindest, the most loving, the most giving person they had ever known. "One of the best." "Irreplaceable." "A gem." "Iconic in every way." He left a permanent stamp on every heart he touched, and the halls of Tidal Health/Peninsula Regional will never quite feel the same.

Greg was a creator. A talented musician whose gifts ran deep. A filmmaker with an imagination who loved nothing more than to bring a story to life. His creative spirit was boundless. He didn't just consume stories; he made them.

Greg leaves us with his poetic and metaphorical tribute: "I'll race you to the sun, I'll race you to the dark, I'll race you to the light" Greg always had a spirit of adventure, boundless energy, and a fearless embrace of all aspects of life both the joyful ("the sun" and "the light") and the challenging or unknown ("the dark"). Greg is the essence of someone who lived passionately, pursued dreams without hesitation, and encouraged others to join him on that journey, no matter where it led.

At heart, Greg was a big kid who made life fun and challenges easier. His laughter and energy were infectious. He found peace in nature and cherished simple joys like walking in the woods or rain-his true sanctuary.

Greg lived a life that was full of adventure and imagination, embracing the extraordinary and facing challenges with boldness. His desire to be part of something heroic, to fight for a cause, and his boundless creativity, his wish to live life fully and fearlessly will always be with us.

Greg was a gifted, imaginative creator whose kindness and generosity deeply touched everyone around him. He brought joy and energy to every aspect of his life, making lasting impacts on his family, at work, with friends, and within his community. His legacy is one of creativity, warmth, and unwavering positivity.

Greg will be deeply missed by his beloved family. Greg is survived by his loving partner Kate Stefanovicova; loving mother of his two children, Tara Hazel; and their beloved children, Julia Clendaniel and Gabriel Clendaniel; his loving mother, Georgia Clendaniel; father, Harold Clendaniel; brother, Michael (Kristin) Clendaniel; nieces, Logan Clendaniel and Rory Clendaniel; nephew, Holden (Michaela) Clendaniel; aunts and uncles, Patrica (Roger) Moore, Herbert (Connie) Mears, Eugene (Marti) Mears; cousins, Kevin (Michelle) Moore, Brooks Mears, Crystal Mears, Shelly Mears, Lisa Mears; and countless friends and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Amy Adkins; grandfather, Pat Mears; uncle, Jerry Mears; and cousin, Richard Mears.

Greg's legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those he touched.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd, Salisbury, Maryland 21804. Viewing will be at 2:00 PM with service held at 4:00 PM.
