Eugene "Gene" Nardone born on October 17, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, in Cambridge, Maryland. He was 86. Gene was the son of Eugene Nardone and Anna Hitchens.

He was a dedicated employee with the State of Maryland and the Motor Vehicle Administration until his early retirement. Gene opened a "Crab Shak" in Linkwood, Maryland where he sold crabs, produce, and his crafts

Gene is remembered for his passion for craftmanship which extended into woodworking and the intricate art of carving decoys, some of which won first and second place awards at the Ward Musuem is Salisbury. Gene was an avid hunter, enjoying the trill of the chase for all types of game, especially deer. Following his stroke, he entertained his hunting buddies by cooking on the grill for them after the hunt was over.

His love for the outdoors was only matched by his appreciate for the Baltimore Ravens, a bond he cherished with his beloved daughter, Michele.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele Auker (Kerry); a daughter Renee Nardone, his half-brother, Mark Pietrowski; nephew David Evan, and niece Cindy Cornell (Mike), and his best friend, Steve Abbott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Marlene Evans, his first wife, Vivian Nardone, and his second wife Shirley Nardone.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, Maryland. Friends may visit from 9:30 - 10:00. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's memory to local conservation efforts or hunting programs that foster a love for wildlife and the great outdoors.
