Virginia passed away on December 24th, 2023 at the George E Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home.

She was born February 22, 1943 to Anita Frances (Hansing) Flippen and Leroy Rex Flippen in Clearfield, Utah. Her best friend and brother Frederick Michael Flippen (1941) passed away in 1947 as the result of a tragic pedestrian-auto accident in front of her family home in Clearfield. This was a significant event in Virginia’s life worth mentioning and perhaps the start of her passion for reading where she found in the pages many new friends and experienced many adventures throughout her life.

Virginia’s sisters Anita and Cheryl are proud to have learned from Virginia’s gentle ways, perseverance, and deep spiritual convictions. Virginia received her B.S. degree in Library Science in 1971 from Weber State University in Ogden. Utah. She held jobs in various libraries including St Joseph High School, Weber State University, Hill Air Force Base and St Michaels (Catholic) Indian School in St Michaels, Arizona. She met her future husband Joseph D’Agostino at the coffee shop of Ben Lomond Hotel in Ogden and married in 1974. Virginia loved the role of wife and found it fulfilling for 31 years until the passing of her beloved husband in 2005. She lived most of her life in Davis County, and Salt Lake City and moved to George E Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home in 2022 where she passed. The family is eternally grateful for the excellent care she received there.

Virginia was an avid reader so please read a book in her memory and/or donate books to your favorite library, school, or charity.

Virginia is survived by her three sisters Mary Ann (Ruddy) Rossi of Colorado, Anita Louise (Flippen) White and Cheryl Jeanette (Flippen) Sadiq of Utah; her nieces Sofya Noreen and Meena Sadiq of California, her nephew Sidney Earl Reeves of Ogden; her stepchildren Anita Kendall (John), Sandra Negrete, Joann (D’Agostino) Minardi (Blake), Debbie Gerardo, Jeane Formaro, Terralyn D’Agostino Flor (Stephen), Marianne Borcovan (David), her grandchildren A.J. (D’Agostino) Morrow (John), Kahle Jackett (Carolyn), & many great nephews, nieces as well as cousins.
