            Funeral services for Virginia K. Davis, age 74, who passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Her funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina with Rev. Donald Meyer ~ officiating.

            Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina.

            Visitation with family present will be from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

Virginia (Ginny) Robrecht Davis, passed away on February 6, 2024, suddenly at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

     Virginia was born on November 29, 1949, in Anadarko, Oklahoma and graduated from Anadarko High School in 1968.

     Virginia married William Davis on January 15, 1968.  They had three children, William, Stacie, and George Davis.

     Virginia and Bill moved to Iowa from Oklahoma when Bill was out of the service.   Virginia worked in the dietary department at Wide View Nursing Home for over 30+ years.  She was known for her southern fried chicken.  

     After retirement, Virginia enjoyed helping watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Baking was a favorite pastime.  She enjoyed playing cards, Dominos, and coffee time with Lyle Rabe and Marge and Alan Stamer and friends.  Virginia was a member of Zion Lutheran church, and was baptized in 1978, and was also a member of the Paullina Women’s Auxiliary.  

     Left to treasure her memories are husband, Bill of 55 years, two sisters, Linda Post of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Freida (Chris) Taylor of Maysville, North Carolina.   Her children, Bill (Amy) Davis of Maurice, Iowa and their daughters, Gabby Davis (Brady) Flint of Emmetsburg, Iowa and Jaci Davis (special friend, Marcus Hernandez) of Elk Horn, Nebraska; daughter, Stacie (Roger) Hohbach of Paullina, Iowa and their children, Zachary (Skyler) Hohbach of Paullina, Kelley (Trent) Wester of Larabee and Lexy Murphy of Paullina; son, George (Melissa) Davis of Sheldon and their children, Anthony (Jennifer) Davis of Milford, Iowa, Crystal (Brant) Rosin of Beaver Creek, Minnesota, Caitlin Davis and Salina Davis of Sheldon; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Hadley, Jr, Avery, and Lane Hohbach, Levi, Wyatt, and Nolan Wester, Owen, and Kora Murphy, Jarrett Rosin, Grace, Autumn, Jazmine, and Gary Davis; also other relatives and friends.

     Virginia was preceded by her parents, Emmet and Ruth Robrecht; brother, Roger Robrecht, father and mother-in-law, Bill and Anna Davis; granddaughter, Caitlin Davis and sister-in-law, Ruth Rabe.
