Virginia DeVito
"Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister"
Virginia (Varrone) DeVito, 66, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Antonio DeVito, Sr. for 46 years.
Virginia was born in Waterbury, CT on November 28, 1957, a daughter of the late Mario and Rita (Schippani) Varrone. She was a graduate of Kennedy High School, Class of 1976 and worked as a paraprofessional in the Waterbury School System for many years.
Besides her husband, Antonio, of Waterbury, Virginia is survived by two sons, Antonio DeVito, Jr. of Waterbury, Michael DeVito of CA, four grandchildren, two brothers, Anthony Varrone and his wife, Alison of Waterbury, Mario Varrone, Jr. and his wife, Laura of Naugatuck, one sister, Lisa Murphy and her husband, Donald of Bristol, her brothers-in-law, Louis DeVito and his wife, Ann, Lorenzo DeVito and his late wife, Rosa and many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Sonny and dog, Bella.
Arrangements: A graveside service will be held at a date and time to be announced at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with her arrangements.
