Virginia "Ginny" Eckstein is beloved wife of Charlie, Mother of Lisa & Mickey, Grandmother to Chayse, Sister of Karen, Dolly & Kenny, Step Mother of Kellie & Dani, Aunt, friend and colleague to so many.
Ginny has achieved so many wonderful things in her life besides being a Mother and we would like to mention a few of the incredible highlights.
While bartending one day she answered an ad for women in space – Ginny was a test subject in NASA for the Space Shuttle – Crew Systems as one of the pioneering women in the industry.
After Nasa she bartended again where she met Charlie and eventually became an owner in the bar. The couple fell in love not only with each other but with the hobby for Tropical Fish. She learned so much that she was flown all over the country and Bermuda to give lectures and even became a published author for an international fish magazine. Not only did she win hundreds of plaques, certificates, awards and trophies, she became a judge for all the major conventions. She gained so much notoriety that the Smithsonian did an article about her.
Along her journey she also came an enthusiast for exotic cactus and succulent plants and once again knew almost everything there was to know. It is no wonder that her incredible intelligence gave her the ability for the quickest wit and funniest, sarcastic sense of humor. Ginny you will forever be loved and missed.
