Virginia Jean Eder, a cherished soul and loving matriarch, passed away peacefully from natural causes on August 4, 2025, in Interlachen, Florida. Born on October 17, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, Virginia brought warmth and joy to all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Virginia was a devoted wife to her husband, Gordon Eder, and the heart of her family. She held a deep, unwavering love for those closest to her-her sister Joann Schmitt and sister-in-law Joean Eder. Family was Virginia's everything, and she cherished the upbringing of her beloved nephew Jake and niece Stephanie, whose births marked significant milestones in her life.

A caring and soft-hearted individual, Virginia had a unique talent for making connections and fostering love. Known as a matchmaker among her friends and family, she delighted in the happiness of others. She was a passionate gardener, with a particular fondness for planting roses, and her garden was a reflection of her vibrant spirit, often adorned with whimsical fairy collectibles that brought her joy.

Virginia's heart extended beyond her human family. She was a devoted pet owner, sharing her home with nine cherished dogs-Jasper, Brianna, Gypis, Coco, Stella, Boo Boo, Yogi, Sasha, Trixie-and nurturing six birds, eagerly anticipating new life with five eggs, as well as her beloved cat, Bella. These furry and feathered companions brought her comfort and happiness every day.

A believer in God and someone who found joy in making others laugh, Virginia had a knack for brightening the lives of those around her with kindness and humor. Her favorite colors-purple, pink, and green-were as vibrant as her personality, encompassing the love and life she shared with everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Virginia Jean Eder leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and laughter.

Rest in peace, dear Virginia, your love will forever bloom in our hearts.

Virginia was preceded in death by her mother: Pearl Colbert and brother: Donald Koss
