Virginia Lou Frantz, age 89, of Owosso, Michigan, was called home on August 2, 2025.

Born on November 27, 1935, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to loving parents George and Rose Moreno, she graduated from Owosso High School. During her school years, she was honored to be on the Queen's Court and played clarinet in the high school band.

On August 5, 1953, Virginia married the love of her life, Warren Stanley Frantz. They built not only a few houses together, but a life full of devotion, hard work, and shared laughter. They were married for 62 years until Warren's passing in 2015. Virginia was a dedicated homemaker whose greatest joy was caring for her family. She was a woman of strength, wit, and generosity, always ready with a warm meal, a sharp joke, or a helping hand. Her legacy is one of loyalty, strength, and love.

Virginia is survived by her loving children Cynthia Retherford, Vonda (Art) Caswell, Guy (Kathy) Frantz, Mark Frantz, Brad (Lahoma) Frantz, and Rodney (Vicki) Frantz; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her sisters Becky Leven and Alicia (Cliff) Tribley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren Stanley Frantz; her parents, George and Rose Moreno; her brother, George; her grandson Bradford Frantz Jr.; and her son in law Jay Retherford.

She will be remembered always for her strong work ethic, loving heart, and sense of humor that brought warmth to everyone around her.
