Virginia Hardman-Grimes Obituary
Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at New Paradise Baptist Church in Greenville, KY with Pastor Dustin Laster and Pastor Tim Adcock officiating. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is assisting with the arrangements.
A native of Orofino, ID she was born July 26, 1961 the daughter of the late Morris Eldon Hardman and Patricia Elnora Simmons Mitchell. She was a teacher, writer and a published author.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Jon Michael Hardman, Judith Marie Massey and Morrine Elnora Cox.
Survivors include her daughters: Kathryn (Jeremy) Graham of Lynn, MA, Erica Grimes of Arlington, TX and Alexandra (Sean) Cammarata of Myrtle Creek, OR; and her mom: Marjorie Hardman of Albuquerque, NM; and her siblings: Darlene (Bart) Foley, Esther Cervantes both of Drakesboro, KY, Janice (Jeff) Kehler of Los Lunas, NM , Joy Cobb of Miami Beach, FL and Mitch (Carol) Mitchell of Nampa, ID; and her many nieces and nephews; and her great nieces and nephews; and her brother-in-law: Pat Cox of Greenville, KY; and her former spouse: John Grimes; and her special friend: Clavis Baum who was her advocate, supporter and proponent of her to finish and publish her book.
