Virginia Louise Hundley

Virginia Louise Hundley, 91, of Macomb, IL passed away on Saturday January 11, 2025 at Wesley Village in Macomb. She was born on August 22, 1933 in London Mills, IL to Lester and Lula (Brookhart) Reese. She married Roy (Joe) Hundley on February 28, 1975; he preceded her in death on June 4, 2006.
Surviving are her daughters Debra (Joe Dan, deceased) Webb of Corpus Christi, TX, Janie (John) Lee of Macomb, and Tricia (Kyle) Sjoholm of St. Louis, MO; her brother Don (Patty) Reese of Lebanon, MO; 4 grandchildren, Michael (Cassy) Diffenderffer, Chad Carson, Amy (Ethan) Knox, and Kevin Webb; 5 great- grandchildren, Brook (Chris) Klaasen, Kaylee (Kyle) Dodge, Aaliyah (Colton) Davis, Erika (Samuel) Hendricks, and Ryder Carson; and 12 great-great grandchildren, Ryker, Savannah, Alessa, Aspien, Ellie, Bentley, Ashton, Waylon, Azalyn, Natalie, Freyr, Ayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother James Reese, son Greg Diffenderffer, and daughter Jeannie Diffenderffer.
Virginia (Ginny) graduated from Northwestern School in Good Hope, IL in 1952. She lived most of her life in the local area but also lived for short times in Iowa, Missouri, and Texas. Besides raising five children, she worked at: Form-Fit in Monmouth, IL; she co-owned the grocery store in Sciota, IL; and worked in Macomb at Value Village, Farm King, Hy-Vee Bakery, and The Elms (from where she retired). She liked listening to live country music, and in earlier years loved dancing with her husband. Ginny enjoyed meeting her friends for breakfast and playing dominoes with them while they were camping at Spring Lake. She was the card shark of the family when playing Pitch. She was very social and was always ready to go "do something". She loved visits from her family and grand-pups, Max and Ada.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday January 17, 2025 at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, where visitation will be held one hour prior. Pastor Jim Eddy will officiate.
