Virginia E. Jones, 95, of Eugene, OR, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, from age-related causes. Born on August 13, 1929, in Leedey, OK, during the depths of the Great Depression, Virginia was the youngest of eight children, sharing her birth date with her twin brother, Vern Butler. She was the beloved daughter of Monroe and Rosetta Butler.
Virginia's life was a testament to resilience and unwavering love. She married Jesse Jones on August 31, 1946, in Reno, Nevada, embarking on a journey of devotion and family that spanned decades. As a devoted homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a loving home for her family. While primarily dedicated to her family, Virginia also worked as a waitress periodically throughout her life, enjoying the social interaction and connecting with people.
Virginia's faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of her life, and she looked forward to being reunited with Him. She was a loving and supportive wife and mother, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of her many loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse Jones; her sons, Larry and David Jones; and all of her siblings. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Carol McDonald; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

I am very grateful that the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to know Virginia, even if brief. Her genuine love for Christ was evident in her tender compassionate nature and efforts of kindness towards me. She chose to embrace with love when she could have chosen to shun, and it has stayed with me. My deepest and most genuine sympathies for her remaining family, as I am sure the presence of this amazing and Godly woman will be greatly missed. I continue to pray for you all and will always Love you like family, even if it wasn't God's plan for me to be in yours. I look forward to the day I will see Virginia again when our King returns, which will be very soon. I will continue to pray for all of you, from the place in my heart where I hold you still.
