Born in Mt. Veron, NY on September 30, 1940, she was the daughter of Vincent and Susan (nee Giniso) Carosella.
Ginny worked at the Scarsdale Country Club for many years. Not one to sit still for too long, Ginny then became the owner of Wine Time Wine & Spirits in Flowick Shopping Plaza, in Warwick. Ginny loved kids, and worked as a teacher's aide in Mt. Vernon, NY, and served as president of the PTA there. When the family moved to Warwick, she volunteered at St. Stephen-St. Edward School and taught CCD for many years.
Ginny is survived by her husband Carlos Mejia; two sons Daniel R. Chisholm, Jr. and his wife Sonia and Mark Chisholm, both of Warwick; grandchildren: Katherine, Daniel III, Lulu, and Colin; and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandchild and the father of her sons, Daniel Chisholm, Sr.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Ginny's name to the Warwick Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 61, Warwick, NY 10990.
