Virginia Ann Pauley, 85, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 1:20 p.m. at Cornerstone Hospice in Orlando, Florida.

Virginia was born on May 6, 1940, in Austin, Texas and was the oldest of 4 children born to Harry & Kay Payne. Virginia lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. When she was 9 years old, the family moved from Texas to Haarlem, The Netherlands as missionaries leaving a deep and lasting impression on her and the entire family. After several years there, the family moved to Florida where she graduated from high school. Later, Virginia attended Florida College and later worked at the University of South Florida. She was introduced to the love of her life, Ed Pauley at church, and they were married in March,1963 in Tampa, Florida.

Her career was being an incredible wife to her husband of 55 years, as well as, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an active member of the Clermont church of Christ where she taught children's Bible classes, sang alto, and made countless pans of delicious lasagna and chocolate cookie sheet cake for church gatherings and folks needing a meal.

Virginia was preceded in death by her brother, James Payne, her parents, Harry & Kay Payne, and her husband, Ed. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Sammons, of Seffner, Florida; her brother, Harry E. (Buddy) Payne, Jr. of Tampa, Florida; her sons, Brian Pauley (Ruth) of Frisco, Texas, Wayne Pauley (Tiara) of Clermont, Florida, and Brent Pauley (Tera) of Winter Garden, Florida, as well as her six grandchildren, Geoffrey Pauley (Cara), Travis Pauley, Zachary Pauley, Caitlin Pauley, Miranda Pauley, and Nina Pauley; and three great-grandchildren, Adam, Emily, and Christopher Pauley.
