Virginia Ann Rodriguez, 80 years old, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Garner, NC passed away on September 6, 2025. Virginia was born on September 23, 1944, in Garner, NC to the late Rommie and Nannie Moore Jones.

Virginia attended Garner Consolidated High School and later went on to start her career in the healthcare industry as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Virginia loved to sing and dance, she had a lovely singing voice and could dance all night.

She was predeceased by her son, Anthony Rodriguez; her sisters, Margaret Jones and Margie Jones "Lady" and her brother, Samuel Jones. Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Lucy Mae Jones; her grandchildren, Malachi Barton Rodriguez, Janiya Hunt Rodriguez, De'Andre Rodriguez Nyla Rodriguez, Daysun Rodriguez, Ethen Rodriguez, Aiden Rodriguez; her niece, Debra Jones Johnson; her nephew, Booby Earl Jones and his wife Tara; her great nieces, Dorenda Johnson Townes and her husband Brandon and Skylar R. Townes; her great nephew, John E. Johnson, Jr.; her great, great nephews Jay'Shawn T. Johnson and Camron C. Townes; her great, great nieces, Arya H. Townes, Sevyn M. Townes, Wynter Jones and Jazmine Jones.

A visitation will be held from 11:15am to 12pm on September 11, 2025, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 120 Prospect Ave, Raleigh, NC with a Celebration of Life Graveside Service to follow 12pm, with Rev. Dr. William Newkirk officiating.

The Jones, Johnson, and Townes Families would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all who provided excellent care and compassion to Virginia during her stay at Tower Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Your patience, kindness, and professionalism made such a difference in her recovery and brought great comfort to our family. Thank you for not only addressing her medical needs but also for treating her with dignity, respect, and warmth. We are truly appreciative of the dedication and support you showed each day.
