Virginia Sapia Obituary

Virginia Rosalie Sapia passed away peacefully on Monday October 28, 2024 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Ellis Phillip Sapia Jr. Mother of Angela Maria Sapia. Grandmother of Ellis Alexie. Daughter of the late Angelina Culotta Varisco and John Varisco. Sister of the late Marie Waguespack, the late Lena Hogan, and the late Josephine Rhodes. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. Virginia received a business certificate from Soule College and worked as a secretary for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Virginia was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the choir for many, many years. She was a native of Harvey, LA but lived in Marrero, LA for the last 56 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 9:30 -11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church. The funeral mass will start at 11 AM. Interment to immediately follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at http://www.mothefunerals.com.
