Virginia Shuttlesworth Obituary

Virginia Lee Shuttlesworth passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. Visitation will be at 12 p.m. and service will start at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Mrs. Shuttlesworth was my 7th grade Texas history teacher at University Jr. High in `82.
Always loved seeing her from time to time when our paths would cross.

Just wanted to say that I am sorry I was late in posting this, I just saw it and wanted to let David and Bill know that their mother and father were big influences in my childhood on Fairway drive and that I always appreciated the kindness that Mrs. Shuttlesworth showed me on our street and at Belton Jr High.

Virginia was such a delight to know both as a friend and church goer. Jerry directed music and led the choir at Miller Heights Baptist Church while Virginia and David ministered to the congregation so beautifully! They will both be missed!!

Sorry to loose a sweet friend. Virginia was my table mate for many months when I first came to Stilwell. She was very welcoming. I kept in touch for a good while after she moved. Have sweet memories of her. God bless her family.

I regret that I'll be out of town for Virginia's service. I worked with her at CABC in the Neighbors program. She was so loving and enthusiastic in her dealing with people. She was a joy to be around and very loved by all who knew her.
