Virginia "Ginny" Donohoe Smith, 79, of Clemson, passed away on November 10, 2025. Ginny was born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Carl T. and Iva M. Donohoe.
Ginny graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education, which reflected her commitment to knowledge and teaching. She built a successful career as the owner of Foothills Printing Company in Pendleton, South Carolina, before transitioning to work with her son as an office manager for Allstate Insurance.
Ginny faithfully attended Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central, SC. She was known as one of the "Golden Girls" at the church.
Ginny had a passion for baking, with her specialties being cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, and peach preserves. Family was the center of her life! Her world revolved around her two grandchildren.
Ginny is survived by her son, Shane David Smith and wife Celeste of Seneca, SC; grandchildren, Savannah Lauren Smith of Nashville, TN, and Cameron Shane Smith of Seneca, SC.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16th, 2025, from 2:00-2:45 PM at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central, SC. A memorial service will follow visitation at the church starting at 3:00 PM.
Flowers are welcomed by the family.
Memorial donations in honor of Ginny may be made to the Trinity Wesleyan Faith Promise Fund.
