Virginia Gail Snouffer, age 97, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at her home under the care of Southern Grace Hospice. She was born on October 24, 1928, in Columbus, OH, the daughter of the late John Oakley Lee and Amey Rosetta Boham Lee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Michael Snouffer; son, Charles Jeffrey Freeland; and her siblings, Elizabeth Boxell, Luella Lee, John O. Lee Jr., Edna McDivitt, and Alice Callaghan.

Ms. Snouffer lived a life rooted in service and compassion. A proud member of American Gold Star Mothers and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, she also remained active with Kiwanis International, always looking for ways to give back to her community. In her later years, her heart found its greatest joy in volunteering with Southern Grace Hospice, where she supported their efforts to offer comfort, kindness, and quiet strength to families during their most difficult moments.

She leaves behind her daughters, Suzanne Allene (Ronald) Hard and Amey Rosetta (Shawn) Balog; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. A graveside service and interment to honor her life will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, beginning 10:30 AM, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM prior to the service at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made in her honor to The Southern Grace Hospice Foundation, by visiting https://www.southerngracehospice.com/donate.
