Virginia was born to Virgil and Twilla Rauch on April 12, 1946 in Ransom, Kansas. She grew up in Yampa Colorado and graduated from Soroco High School in Oak Creek. Then she married Hal Viele and moved to Independence, Missouri. They lived there for several years and had their first child Allen. Then they moved back to Yampa and had their second child Gina.
Virginia worked for the Railroad Cafe in Phippsburg for a few years as well as for the Yampa School District, then moved to Grand Junction to live with her Daughter.
Virginia passed away February 3, 2025 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her Parents, son Allen, Daughter Gina, Brother in-law Ralph Jones, Niece Amanda Rauch, and Great-nieces Ariana and Alisha Babcock.
She is survived by her Sister Violet Church (Ron), Sister Marilyn Cox (Glenn), Sister Grace Jones (Gordon), Brother Buck Rauch (Marga), 2 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren, and 6 Nephews.
A service and internment will be held later this year at the Yampa Cemetery.
