Virginia Lu Watson, age 86, of Clinton, MI, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born in Northville, MI, on January 6, 1939, the daughter of the late Jesse William and Aleta Marie (Shekell) Sutton. On July 1, 1960, she was joined in marriage with Robert "Bob" James Watson in Plymouth, MI, and they enjoyed almost fifty-five years together before his passing on May 23, 2015.
Virginia was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Plymouth, Michigan. She loved being a homemaker, and the smells of baking in her home were always a welcome treat to her family and friends. She loved being with her family, and they were undoubtedly the most important thing in her life.
Family that Virginia leaves behind are: her two children, Maria (Dan) Permoda of Addison, MI, and Robert (Jami) Watson of Tecumseh, MI; her grandchildren, Caleb and Caden Permoda, and Brianna and Robert Watson; her two siblings, Carol Funk of Dublin, OH, and Jim Sutton of Gregory, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Virginia was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
At her request, cremation has taken place. There will be a brief graveside service at her final resting place, the Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville, MI.
