Virginia Yoder Obituary
Born in Barlow Oregon on October 10th, 1927 to Leona and James Wilson, Virginia grew up in Siletz Oregon. Virginia attended Siletz grade school and Freshman year at Siletz High School before moving to Yoder Oregon, graduating from Molalla Union High School in 1945. She attended one year at Oregon State University before marrying Emerson Yoder in 1946.
Virginia and Emerson settled in Yoder Oregon where they raised six children. Virginia was an active member of Smyrna United Church of Christ most all her life.
Virginia is survived by her brother Donald (Pat)Wilson, and children Arlene Hampton, Louise (David)Adams, Paul Yoder, Twyla Blatchford, and Loretta Wallace, fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen greatgrandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by her husband Emerson, daughter Gloria, daughter-in-law Audrey, granddaughter Leona, sisters Jean, Cecil, and Nancy, and by brothers James and William.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at Smyrna UCC, on November 16, at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Smyrna UCC memorial fund.
