Vivian Imbimbo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Browning-Forshay Funeral Home - Hawthorne on Dec. 3, 2025.
Imbimbo, Vivian (nee Bria), age 97 of Mahwah, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
Born in Stamford, CT and raised in Paterson, Vivian and her husband Victor move to Hawthorne in 1951 where they designed and built a home on top of McFarland Avenue. For 52 years they lived there, raised their three children, and became a part of the Hawthorne community and parishioners of St. Anthony's R.C. Church.
Vivian was a wonderful homemaker, making sure she was there for her children throughout their school years, creating a lively household and parenting to ensure her children learned about respect and responsibility. Victor Sr. would agree Vivian was the CEO of the Imbimbo household. Later in life, she became more active outside of the home taking on the responsibilities as an office manager for an Estate Jewelry business, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
After her husband's passing, Vivian moved into Brandywine Senior Living in Mahwah, a terrifically active and stimulating environment, until her passing.
Vivian Imbimbo was the beloved wife of the late Victor Imbimbo, Sr. (2002); loving mother of Victor Imbimbo, Jr. and his wife Jill Sussman of Greenwich, CT, Richard Imbimbo and his wife Maureen Malina of Greenville, NC, and Robyn Imbimbo of New York City. She was the dear grandmother of Erica Imbimbo and her husband Angus McKellar, Amanda Imbimbo, and Samson Walla and his wife Lily, and the wonderful great grandmother (Gigi) of Cason, Jackson and Hudson.
A 9:30 AM funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, 276 Diamond Bridge Avenue, Hawthorne. Entombment will follow at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Totowa.
In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, the Imbimbo family has asked family and friends, in Vivian's memory, to deliver an act of kindness, as small or big as they would like, to someone they don't know, during the next week. Thank you.
