Gertrude C. Cellier

Cellier, Gertrude C. (nee Beekman), age 97 of North Haledon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 3,2025. Born in Midland Park, Gertrude had resided in Wanaque before moving to North Haledon in 2005. Gertrude had worked as a secretary to the department head of accounting for General Motors in Paterson for 25 years. She retired in 1972 which gave her the opportunity to enjoy traveling with her husband. Gertrude had been a member of the Gospel Tabernacle, and later the Pompton Plains Reformed Bible Church. Her heart was directed towards serving others through teaching Sunday School and as a leader in Pioneer Girls. She was also devoted to missions throughout her life. She was a member of the Midland Park Crusaders and the Holland Home Auxiliary. Gertrude C. Cellier was the beloved wife of the late James D. Cellier (2002). Loving sister of the late Janet Jeltes, Henrietta Lawless, and Ethel Moore and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Interment will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, prior to the service on Tuesday morning 10:00am to 11:00am.
