Vivian Lake

Vivan D. Lake, 89, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 in Abilene. She was born June 17, 1935 in Navarre, Kansas, the daughter of Carl and Leona Stammeyer. On November 12, 1954 she was united in marriage to James Lake. All of their married life was spent in Dickinson County. She worked at Duckwall Alco until she retired. She w as preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lake, parents, Carl and Leaona and sister, Carlene Veal. Vivian is survived by; daughter Kimberly Lake and son, James R. Lake all of Abilene. Four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, April 9, at Grace United Church of Christ with Pastor Pansy Beaudoin officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery east of Solomon. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Danner Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name be made to Grace United Church of Christ.
