Vivian Berta Mae Lee, of Trenton, New Jersey, passed away on November 5, 2025. She was born on May 26, 1938, in Burke County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Margaret Roberts.
Berta, as she was affectionately known, was a light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love and compassion. She made Spotlight Holy Temple her church home where she found her unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.
Berta completed her schooling in Burke County, Georgia. After leaving Georgia, Berta moved to New York and then to Imlaystown, NJ before settling in Trenton, NJ. She worked in retail for many years before her retirement. Berta found joy in shopping, driving, and travelling.
She was predeceased by her sister, Henrietta Roberts; aunts, Ora Evans and Arizona Mack; and best friend, Ida Young.
Berta leaves behind her cousins, Yvonne Travers (Benjamin) of Morrisville, PA, Sidney Mack of Trenton, NJ, and a very special cousin, Glenda Mack of Ewing, NJ; two great friends, Barbara Burchett and Celestine Baker; cherished godson, Kevin Baker; and a host of other relatives and friends who shared in her tenacious spirit.
Those who knew Berta will remember her for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, her deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love to everyone she encountered. Although Berta's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
