Vivian was born on July 14, 1944 in Rotan, Texas to Douglas and Bessie (Winters) Eaton.
She was wonderful mother, memaw/mawaw, bonus memaw, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. She loved bowling, all animals, and spending time with her family and friends. There was never a dull moment when she was in the room. She also loved to laugh and have fun, dancing, and cooking. She also enjoyed spending time at the nurse's station at Garden Terrace keeping the nurses and aides on their toes. She was the "boss" she had to keep everyone in line. She really loved all the care givers at Garden Terrace and Solaris.
Vivian is survived by her daughters, Robbin Wooldridge and husband Bubba of Newcastle, Tammy Boyd and husband Robbie of Breckenridge, and Stacy Sikes and husband Greg of Denton; step sons, Chris and Dustin Tompkins of Alvin; brother, Donnie Eaton and wife LaVenda of Knox City; brothers in law, Charles Hanna and Donald Dyess; grandchildren, Sam Wooldridge, Jack Wooldridge and wife Abby, Devin Strong and wife Kristen, Summer Evans and husband Matt, and Gabrielle Speck; and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jim Tompkins; parents, Douglas and Bessie Eaton; grandson, Zachary Pillow; in laws, Hubert and Evelyn Tompkins; twin brother, Louis Eaton; and siblings, Audrey Dyess, Billie Hanna, Betty Stamps, Leo Eaton, Gary Eaton, Robert Eaton, J.C. Eaton, and Carol Ray Eaton.
We want to say a big thanks to Garden Terrace and Solaris for the awesome care they gave our mom.
