Voyle C. Holder

Voyle was born on August 28, 1936 in Kiowa county OK. He attended the Consolidated 8 school where he graduated from high school in 1954. He attended Southwestern State College in Weatherford and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education. Holder started work at Tinker AFB in 1959 and retired as Chief of the Aircraft Contracting Division in 1992. He was also a member of the Moore Jaycees in the 1960s and early 70s. In 1983 he opened the Alley Club in Oklahoma City with friends and business partners Ron Reed and Don Mayhew. Holder enjoyed traveling with wife Jan in their RV. They attended OU football games in Chicago IL, Miami FL, New Orleans LA, and Pasadena CA. They often spent the winter months in Arizona. Voyle was preceded in death by his parents H.K. and Jesse Holder, sister Maxine Ledford, and brother Tom Holder. He is survived by his wife Jan Holder, Oklahoma City; son Mark Holder, Tuttle; daughter Tracei Holder (Keith Bailey), Moore; stepson Bill Maupin (Judy) and grandchildren Jared, Callie, Katie, Abby and Sara, all of whom adored him. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday Oct 30 at Resthaven Funeral Home. There will be a private family service on Friday Oct 31 at 10 a.m.
