Wadad A. Sayegh, 88, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 8, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 20, 1936 in Zahle, Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Wadiaa (Ebry) Baalbaky. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and had the gift to motivate anyone with her positive personality. She was a communicant of St. Anthony Maronite Church in Springfield and her greatest joy was spending quality time with her family. Wadad is survived by her husband Adib Sayegh; son Jamil "James" Sayegh and his wife, Jamal Chami and their family; daughters Jocelyn Sayegh, Rita Hannoush and her husband, George and their family and May Ghossein and her husband, Maroun and their family; and son-in-law Eid Najem and family; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Wadad was predeceased by her daughter Marlene Najem. Calling hours for Wadad will be held from 8-10AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 N. Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA 01028 followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 11AM, at St. Anthony Maronite Church, 375 Island Pond Road, Springfield, MA. Burial will conclude in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wadad's name to St. Anthony Maronite Church, 375 Island Pond Rd., Springfield, MA.
