Wade Garrett Maughan was born September 2, 1955, in Logan, Utah, to Arnold Poppleton Maughan and Ella Frank Garrett Maughan. He passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2025, at the age of 70.

Wade grew up in Wellsville, Utah, full of energy and a rambunctious spirit that never faded. He graduated from Sky View High School and lived a life marked by a surprise at every corner. He married and later separated from Karen Cammack and Trisha Nicholas (deceased) and lovingly cared for Lorraine in Washington until her passing. Wade had a heart for helping others—he often went out of his way to support those less fortunate and shared whatever he had without hesitation.

Wade loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping, and could spend hours telling stories around a campfire.

He enjoyed simple pleasures: a good laugh, a strong cup of coffee, and the company of friends and family.

Wade grew up alongside his siblings: Marie (Bruce Soelberg), Mark, Harrison (Patsy), Rebecca (Del Olson), and Catherine (Van Anderson). He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Marie and Mark.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Wellsville Cemetery, 400 N 200 E, Wellsville, Utah.
