Walker Jerald “Bubba” Scott Beautiful Lives

Most people are fortunate to live one beautiful life, Uncle Bubba lived many. He was born in hard times, the oldest son six children. That life wasn’t easy by today’s standards but he was raised in a house full of love and closeness with his parents and siblings few enjoy.

Uncle Bubba enjoyed a time of wild youth, dancing and carousing while still maintaining control. Even during this life he was an oak.

He the started a new life when he married aunt Neva. They were seldom apart and cared for each other for both their whole life’s.

Uncle Bubba could fix anything and his work ethic earned him a job at Dow Chemical where he learned the trade of machinist that lasted until his retirement in 1985.

During this life he was a cattle rancher on his place in Milano often return his calves to pasture because he was to attached to sell them. He built his retirement house on 3rd street almost completely by himself as he could do anything.

Upon his retirement he began a life of public servant. He wore many hats during this time remaining active in the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and Somerville Historical Museum and Senior Citizen Center.
