One day shy of five months old, Walker Lee Slaton passed away on
October 18, 2025. He was a beloved son, grandson, nephew, and cousin,
and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Walker Lee was born on May 19, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at Harris
Methodist Hospital. He spent his life at Cook Children's Hospital in the
Cardiac ICU, lovingly cared for by the staff and his devoted parents.
Throughout his life, he was known for his incredible strength, his fighting
spirit, and the faith that inspired all who knew his story. To know him was
to love him.
Walker Lee was truly a gift from God. He loved spending time with his
mommy and daddy, watching his star lights and animal mobile, listening
to the gentle sounds of his sound machine, and blowing bubbles. He
delighted in playing with his hands-always trying to put them in his
mouth or holding one up in the air, fascinated by the way his tiny fingers
moved. Walker also enjoyed reaching for his toys, especially his favorite
green teether and the Peek-a-Boo koala his daddy bought him. He
treasured every toy his daddy picked out just for him.
Walker loved to sit up, instantly calming whenever he was upright. He
discovered how to make little noises, proudly learning to create a squeak
with his trachea. Bath time was a favorite, when his mommy would give
him a bumper and a gentle lotion massage that always soothed him to
sleep, and his daddy would spike his hair, creating sweet memories
together. The moments his mommy and daddy had most looked forward
to sharing with him were bubble baths full of toys, trips to the zoo, and
taking him fishing.
Walker Lee is survived by his loving parents, Tyler and Samantha Slaton.
They are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so
many, including people they had never met. Walker Lee touched countless
hearts, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
