Wallace Allen "Wally" Neal, 74, of Browning Lambert Mountain, Rock, WV, passed away on November 18, 2025.
Wallace spent his entire life working on the family farm until retirement, when he embraced his most cherished role- being Jayse and Dax's 'poppy'. He loved his days in the garage sharing time with those he loved, and hosting the many get-togethers that brought friends and family together. One of his greatest joys was taking his two favorite boys to Tutors Biscuit World for their breakfast every morning and above all else, he treasured getting the opportunity to experience being a father to Dallas and Bethany- "the kids".
Wallace is survived by his son, Dallas Conley; his daughter in law and devoted caretaker, Bethany Conley; his beloved grandsons, Jayse and Daxton Conley, who were the loves of his life. He is also survived by his mother Effie Neal of Montcalm; brothers, Gerald Neal of Montcalm, Nathan Neal of FL, and a special brother, his twin, Warren Neal of Green Valley; a special cousin, Betty Wyatt of Montcalm, special family friends, Lewis and Angela Johnson.
Wallace is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Neal; his "adopted daughter" Ashley Conley, and his best friend, Alfred Conley.
Wallace often said that the best years of his life were the last ones- years spent being a best friend and mentor to his son Dallas and "running the roads" with his side kick, Jayse. He wanted those left behind to remember that he passed away surrounded by more love than anyone could imagine. He also asked that whenever is grandkids are out and about, they be reminded how deeply their poppy loved them, and to keep their daddy straight, because they are now the ones in charge and each promoted to "Farm Boss' by poppy.
In accordance with Wallace's wishes, no services will be held, and he will be cremated. A private celebration of life will be held in "pop's garage" and hosted by his grandson Jayse. This special gathering will be a time for family and friends to come together, share stories, remembering Wallace, and celebrating the memories and moments that meant so much to everyone.
In lieu of flowers, Wallace requested that friends and family go enjoy a nice breakfast at Tutor Biscuit World in Bluewell in memory of him. Tell the girls that he sent you!
Poppy will always be with you Jayse and Dax... Until we meet again my precious boys...
