Wallace Nozal Obituary

He graduated from high school in Cornucopia, WI. He then graduated from University of Minnesota with a degree in Agribusiness. Wally's career in Agribusiness sales took him to different areas of the Midwest such as Ames and Davenport, IA, numerous cities in Minnesota, and in 1982 moved to Rice Lake, WI where he lived until he retired back to Cornucopia in 2008. On August 1, 1963, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Colleen L. Fredrickson. They raised three children together. Wally was passionate about hunting, fishing, RC planes, gun collecting and wood carving. Early in his retirement, he contracted Parkinson's Disease but still managed to enjoy many of his hobbies especially fishing at the Cornucopia Harbor or at Romans Slough in Cornucopia, WI. Anytime anyone would come to visit Wally, you'd be sure to find a western playing on the television. Wally was extremely passionate about music having been in a band in his college years and numerous choirs throughout his life. He was also very devout in his faith.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Colleen currently of Superior, WI; daughter Kim (Todd) Schumacher of Appleton, WI, sons: Daniel Nozal of Cornucopia, WI and Ryan Nozal of Cornucopia, WI. Brother-in-law: Jerry Fredrickson of Mounds View, MN and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Aken and Hilda Nozal, Irving Fredrickson (father-in- law), Mary Williamsen (mother-in-law), John Fredrickson (brother- in- law).
Funeral service will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cornucopia, WI with Pastor Dale Chesley officiating on Monday September 11 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will take place in the Bell Cemetery, Cornucopia, WI Immediately following the service.
Special thank you to everyone at Moments Hospice, Superior Rehab and Twin Ports Guardian especially Gloria Johnson. The exceptional care you all showed Wally was evident in how much you all loved him like he was part of your family.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI.
