Wallace Emerson Terrell, 98, of Arlington, TX passed away in his bed on New Years Eve 2024 of natural causes. He was born on November 9, 1926 to John William McKinley Terrell and Anna Fern (Clark) Terrell. He lived a very full life that all would be proud of.
Wallace was his own man. He graduated from Ohio State University and had a long successful carrier at Lockhead Martin where he retired as a procurement officer. He worked on many top secret projects including the B-2 stealth bomber. Wallace had three families in his life. The first he was married to Marcy Terrell and had 2 sons Sam and Scott Terrell whom he raised to adulthood. His second family he was married to Melanie Anne Sydow with whom he also had 2 sons Matthew and Christopher Terrell. His third was with Mary Ann Terrell who was his greatest love of all. The love of his life. His life started anew after he met her. They had a love that most only dream about and they took care of each other as if it was written in a fairy tale. She helped him grow, learn to love again, and even reconnect with his children. He stayed devoted to her through everything up to and including her final years battling Alzheimers. He was so devoted to her that he never put her in a home. He took care of her himself in their home until she passed on May 17, 2021. He was holding her hand when she passed. It was on that day he moved in with his son Matthew where he spent the next 4 years getting to know his grandchildren and watching every football game with his son. His greatest passion in life was racing sailboats which he won many many trophies for, but there was also something special about him when the game was on. Forever a Buckeyes fan as well as quite the ladies man!
Wallace is preceded in death by parents John and Anna Terrell, brothers Bill and Gene Terrell, sons Sam, Scott, and Christopher Terrell, ex wives Marcy Terrell and Melanie Sydow and widowed to Mary Ann Terrell.
He is survived by his son Matthew Terrell, Matthews children Elora and Courtny Terrell, and Kylie Rose. Christopher's children Michele, Aidan, and Riley Terrell. Scott's son Casey Terrell. Niece Shawna Pavey and her son Ryan Pavey.
He will be missed by his remaining family and friends. He has made a very big impact on many people young and old his entire life. Even in his final days he was still inspiring greatness in those that would get close to him. He truly lived a life to be remembered and will be missed.
