Walter Kenneth "Ken" Beasley, 86, of Cedar Point, NC, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, holding the hands of his “Kitten,” Mary Beasley.

A memorial service to honor Ken’s life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 13th at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Mitchell Shearin.

Ken was born August 26, 1939, in Hoke County, NC, to the late Belton Beasley Sr. and Letha Mae Haithcox Beasley. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Ken was a member of Cape Carteret Baptist Church and his love for Christ shined throughout his life.

Ken worked in the textile industry with shipping and scheduling and retired to a life full of shared love with his family. In his free time, he enjoyed a round of golf, playing Solitaire, and in his younger years his competitive spirit was often seen on the tennis court. He appreciated his gun collection and was known for giving big, sweaty hugs.

His granddaughter, Ashley Stevens, captured our “Papa” beautifully — Soft hands and a tender heart. Beasley-stubborn and morally strong. He could never keep a secret…always bursting with anticipation to share good news. Competitive, but fair. Gentle, but unwavering. The kind of man whose presence felt like home.

Ken is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Beasley; sons, Keith Beasley and wife Amy, and Mark Beasley; six grandchildren, Ashley Stevens and her husband Matt, Brooke Sykes, Lindsey Shearin and her husband Mitchell, Heather Carter and her husband Ben, Brooke “Baby Cakes” Beasley and her dog Wilson, and Kenneth Beasley and his wife Kaitlyn; nine great-grandchildren, Sebastian Stevens, Macon Shearin, Chandler Sykes, Airlie Stevens, Colston Shearin, Baine Beasley, Evie Shearin, Canndon Cotton, and Axell Beasley; four brothers, William Beasley and his wife Denise, Gerald Beasley and his wife Karen, Grady Beasley and his wife Betty, and James Beasley; and four sisters, Linda Legge, Judy Wagner, Deanna Johnson, and Debra Granillo.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his siblings, Belton “June” Beasley Jr., Alene Mae Beasley Barnes, and Robert “Dan” Beasley.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Society.

Family and friends are welcome to submit online condolences at www.mundenfuneralhome.net.
