Walter S. Borasky

Walter S. Borasky, 81, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday with his loving family by his side. He was a 1964 graduate of Vocational High School in Syracuse and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Walter retired from Advance Fire Protection where he worked as a plumber. He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking on projects and always helping others. Walter was a member of American Legion. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, George and Mary Borasky; his sister, Mary Borasky; his brothers, Paul, George, Gordon, and Daniel Borasky. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Susan Harmon; his son, Michael (Rebecca) Borasky his sister, Deborah Lane; his brothers, David (Maggie) Borasky, Edward (Denise) Borasky; his six grandchildren, Skyeanne (Kristina) Robbins, Chloe (Sean) McCaffery, Aleeyah (Josh) Salvetti, Justin(Tori) Knicely, Ian Gorman and MJ Borasky; his ten great-grandchildren, Quinn, Blaire, Brooke, Brielle, Killian, Sloane, Kamryn, Leon, Chaynce, Tamzyn and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Family and friends may call Thursday 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse followed by a funeral service with Military Honors. Walter will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse, N.Y.
