I still tell teenagers about Mr Bryja's comments like work can be enjoyable, but work is not fun. I remember him also asking deeper questions as to whether we thought the nature of people was good or bad. Coming late to Jesus Christ, I now understand the answer. I hope to see Mr Bryja again as he was a blessing as an educator and in the fair treatment of students. Hopefully he is now riding the gravy train in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Mr. Bryja prepared me scholastically to be able to compete at the University of Pittsburgh. Wish I could have had him earlier in school -I graduated in the 1st year of the merger. With that said the Walter Bryja scholarship has been awarded in his name to an 2024 Apollo-Ridge graduate seeking to further their education in science studies.
