Walter Byram Obituary
Pearl, MS
Walter Ray Byram, 87, a retired forklift driver, died Monday, January 6, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson.
Visitation is 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in the Wilcox Chapel with Bro. Dennis Ellingburg and Bro. Dennis Stringer officiating. Interment is in Freeny Cemetery.
Mr. Byram was a native of Sebastopol and a member of Truitt Baptist Church in Pearl. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking for his family, and Nascar racing.
Preceding him in death were his parents W. P. and Leona Perkins Byram; a daughter, Teresa Pigg.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Donald Byram; a sister, Gale Byram Ogletree (Lamar) of Sebastopol; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Gordon (Justin) of Pearl and Lisa Pigg Thompson (Jeremy) of Hattiesburg; 3 grandchildren, Abigail Gordon, Blair Gordon, and Bodhi Thompson.
Pallbearers are Justin Gordon, Steve Pigg, Jeremy Thompson, Jason Ogletree, and Pat Donald.
